Fragrance

CIMG1222

A fragrance very manly
Still lingers in the air
Despite being lonely
I embraced your trail.
Here in my room,
Alone.

Broad shoulders
I use to lean on,
Strong muscular arms
Those serve as my pillows
Are gone for tonight
More nights.

The last vision I saw
Your arms around me
Sitted on your well-built thigh
I smelled the perfume
On your neck.
Secured.

But you left your
Heart for me
And brought mine
With you.
I'll endure the distance
For you.

The wonder of dream interpretation

I started paying attention to my dreams when I entered the University. At first year, I became aware that some of my dreams were symbolical and that they carried some special messages. During the time, I spent hours thinking and trying to decode the dreams that I had but usually, it took me months to understand what the dream meant and only if I am confronted with the actual meaning of the dream.

I applied some biblical symbols in interpreting my dreams and later, I was able to identify the meaning of some of the dream symbols myself. From the biblical interpretations for example, the water means people while air means war. The snake in the Bible symbolizes Satan, and related to it; snakes in my dreams symbolize trials or problems. The size of the snake, its number, its behavior and how it ends up in my dream is crucial in interpreting. Was I able to kill the snake? Was I bitten? Or was I able to run away? If I dreamt of water – salt or land water, I look at its behavior as well. Is it calm? Is it turbulent? Is it deep? Is it chasing me? Are there fish coming out? Fish would then represent a particular individual or individuals out from the group of people. And every time I interpret my dream, it happens.

Thus, I started reading a lot about dream interpretation and was amazed to discover more wonders in dreams. I recorded some of the significant dream symbols that I had that proved to carry essential warnings to me.

Mushroom: I saw myself eating a big umbrella-like boiled mushroom with soup. I checked the meaning of the dream and it said, “To eat them denotes that you will be humiliated and disgraced by love.” Not long after I had the dream, the guy that I was with proved to be a wrong choice.

Fire: I saw a small fire grew big and consumed my parents’ kitchen. I tried to stop the fire by fanning it but the fire just grew bigger. I checked the meaning of the fire and specifically in my parents’ place and it said “that my family and siblings are doing well in their endeavors and that there will be a significant progress in financial status.” Four months later, I was informed that my mom opened a retail store and my sister a whole sale store and that money was quick. My brother-in-law landed a job with good salary while my brothers in the university are doing well in the fields they chose. One brother even earned a scholarship and he is a 100percent free tuition.

There are still many dreams recorded in my diary that proved to be good warnings and some of them are very personal. While going through my dream diary one day, I came up with an idea. I took a pad and a pen and in an hour, I came up with a very beautiful poem. If you love dream interpretation, you are welcome to interpret my poem.

Broken Dreams

It lurked behind the sun, watching
Waiting for the curtains to close,
When all dogs finished their dinner and
All vendors took their last satang.
At last it succumbed the entire city,
Spirits drifted up and down their sleep.
The shriek of silence so deafening
Darkness!

Underneath the soft cotton blankets,
Beside the silky pillows and
The hugs of plush toys,
A soul was fully awake.
Could anyone free her from those barricades?
Her hands struggled for freedom
But her wrists were tied.
She screamed for help but no one heard
The joyful song of the river swallowed her screams

The same soul stood above the waves.
Balancing, longing to cross to the other edge.
She dug squared fox holes deep down the ground,
But couldn’t find what she was looking for.
She needed to wash her hands,
But everywhere were glasses of wine.
Yet before anything could besiege her;
A whirlwind of fog surrounded her.

She focused her blurred vision, a figure.
Clad in white panama shirt
His long white trousers touched his feet
Every time he stepped;
His long eye lashes were very beautiful,
His full lips curved in a smile, inviting.
The gleams in his eyes hid their color
But wisdom they did mirror.

They trailed along side the beach.
Little breezes crept over polished water;
Ran towards the sand in lazy cottons
And touched their feet.
Birds were flying above their heads;
Flashed up and down in happy songs.
Hand in hand they beheld the beauty
Of their new found paradise.

But then birds’ songs turned into witch-like cries;
Echoed one after another.
Bright colors turned into gray
When from the water a predator
Came out hungry for prey.
In her own eyes, the violent whale took him away.
With tear-blind eyes she bowed,
His spectacles in her hands.
Her hands were free! They’ve been freed!
She jerked to run after him. She needed him back.
But lo! Her feet were bounded with chains.

The fire, hungry like a devil,
Crept along the branches;
Consumed the trunk of the towering mango tree,
Determined to reach the fruits.
She watched the healthy fruits gave in,
Breaking!

I LOVE YOU

When I wake up in the morning,
First thing in mind is you.
It brings me smile
All the while.

‘Cause the love that you have for me
Is too big and too much
To fill my heart;
Takes all part.

I’ve never been loved like you do
Nev’r been taken care of
As much you do
Just from you.

And because of this I love you.
I wish to share my heart
And all my love
Even life.

Yes, there are times that I am scared
Scared that I might fail you
But I’ll try hard
To be true.

If God has plan for me and you
A future together
Then don’t ever
Let me go.

I will love you with all my heart
Will try my best and be
Good girl always
Not bad girl : )

I know I can hurt you badly
At times that I do it
I feel so bad
I’m sorry

Before I close my eyes at night
Last words I hear from you
Magic words: One
Two Three Four

And I thank God for having you
A gem that’s rare to find
I can shout loud
I love you.

Sunshine at night

Fingers tangled together
Wrapped upon each other
The feel of his skin
Tucked above my shin
Is heaven

The warmth of his hug
And the smell of his neck
Are too strong for a tug
That sends my heart to its peak
Not bleak

A raise of his eyebrow
Means, a punch line he'll throw
With lips forming a line
Gives a handsome smile
Worthwhile

The feel of his beard
Upon my fingertips
A chuckle is heard
When I touched him
Above the lips

The strength he gives
In my heart lives
Regardless of fear
He remains so dear
And bear

In the dimness of the night
Saved the shy moonlight
A question came unexpectedly,
"Will you wanna be with me?"
Struck me

As free as the river
So rich were the emotions
I never felt ever
Arms stretch wide in motion
Came a loud "Yes!"

Three common letters
Why-eeeh-esss
My whole life is at stake
But I won't break
Promise

Sealed by a bear hug
Our hearts met
Await may the fog
Who would bet?
But God

I offer him a clean sheet
As white as a sheep
Yet to be written
His love statement
I'm waitin'

Isn't he brave enough
to take the fight?
Isn't he bold enough
to follow his heart?
Yet, isn't he trapped?

Moon and stars were shy
Giving way for that sunshine
In his arms that very night
A silent prayer in my mind
"Deliver him for me, Oh God!"

Adieu to my Sunshine

The stillness of my room
And the coldness of the walls
Defeat the warmth of the foam
I sat, alone.

Staring through the window
Pass through the balcony
The sky bestowed
It's gloomy.

No stars.
No moon.

Searching for the light
My eyes tried hard
Even just a candle light
I looked forward.

My heart yearns for that light
Is it shy?
My head faces the plight
Did it fly?

But I said goodbye
to that sunshine.

Not that I didn't want it to shine
Nor did I want it to hide
But that it was mine
for a short time.

Not that he didn't bear his light
Farther than a far he shined
But with curtains of light traps
He was trapped.

Who am I to free his snares?
If I'm, but a silhouette?

Blessed by that sunshine, I was
A treasure, he was.
Should I kill to reach the rays?
What's the price?

But I had to let go.

With a smile in my lips
And tears in my eyes,
Let me say "Adieu"
To my sunshine.

The Renewed Man

Did you know that there are souls out there in the dungeons who pray their hearts out to be given the chance to be baptized and be able to worship God in His temple?

The Renewed Man
The dining table looked cheerful and festive,
Everyone had gone out to make the occasion a delight;
Two men shook hands, sat side by side,
Joined by another friend, Earl, they had a feast;
The pleasant appearing young man, Sam, had a leisure meal,
In his power did everyone feel at ease
Not withstanding the reason of the gathering.
Time came when good friends Earl and Sam needed apart;
For Earl's time was but on the next week, thanked Sam for the
friendship's spiritual impact on his life.
Left alone in the room, Sam and his pastor
visited at length about spiritual things.
Where in the outside world newspaper headlines
screaming out the news "Tannyhill to die in chair tonight",
And when everyone party for which justice was about to be done,
A killer was about to die, paying the penalty for gross misdeeds.
But Christ changed him that this man was no longer the same;
A man to have found that the presence of Jesus can
turn even a death-row cell into a glorious place.
In his dungeon shared his light that a number of souls
were saved before they went to sleep.
Through letters preached his mother and relatives,
and even they received the truth and witnessed;
Sam lived the twenty-seventh of his life the best.
He desired to live, to be baptized in the water, and to worship
God in His temple, but pleaded God's will be done.
How difficult must it be for the Heavenly Father?
To execute both mercy and justice at once?
But God certainly knew when to give life and when to take.
In his grave with voice silenced, Sam lay but a moment.

The duck and the zits

What a day I got
When I woke up with so much spots.
It ain’t my clothes that was filled though
But it’s that what I look first thing in the morning.
Why is my face filled with so much zits?
A therapist thus I must seek
Wait! I think its dermatologist.
But I don’t speak their own language;
To communicate thus I am scared.
If only all people on earth speak “English”.
And so I showed my face to the specialist.
She smiled and asks, “Do you eat duck?”
Bewildered, “Never!” I exclaimed.
She said again “You must eat duck.”
She pointed my zitty zits and said “eat duck”.
How can a duck take my zitties away?
Then she took a paper and pen and spelled her duck, “D-R-U-G”.
Thus I exclaimed, “Ahah! You want me to take medicine?”
A wide smile flashed her face and said “Yet, yet, yet.”
On the paper was spelled, “Y-E-S”.

No enemy is the greatest but myself
No battle is tougher than to overcome myself
Myself is the worst enemy of my own
I am shielded and covered, protected by my sword
but the enemy is from within
thus all defenses lame
It attacks if I'm unguarded
It strikes if I'm weak
Such outstanding enemy
It corrupts the reason
And sets fire on emotion
It weakens the control
And strangles the ideals
Even can collapse an empire
Indeed the victor of one's self,
Is the greatest warrior of all time.

Can you count backward? ...

One day I had a serious conversation
with a child.
"Do you know how to count?", I asked.
"Sure I do. " Came the reply.
"One, two, three, four, five!"
"Very good" said I,
And clapped my hands.
He was impressive.
"So can you count backward?",
I challenged the kid hard.
Smiling and beaming with pride,
he turned his back and counted,
"One, two, three, four, five!".

Life's Journey

How wonderful is a child
He runs around and dance
In a moment he cries
Then in a sudden laughs.

Left with friends in the ground
With sticks and grasses to play
In danger is hapless but tough
Anything simple makes his day.

He shouts aloud and rolls
To dive or stumble alike
A child’s world indeed
Are rooms full of laugh.

How different is that of an old man
With legs frail almost lame
A single step takes all his strength
Only spirit can make a length.

If only his mind I can probe
Or in a conversation had drove
This question I have in mind
In life’s journey how to survive?

But I’m neither old man nor a child
A world of mountains I must climb
Like a beaming light the future sparks
To reach the top I leave to God.
