What makes students hold on to extra-curricular activities or organizations?

Students who are members of any organization or who actively participate in extra-curricular activities are mainly driven by their interests. Nobody wants to be in a group that is not in line with his interests. Being involved in an organization that caters one’s needs and skills makes a person productive and well satisfied. Some students hold on to some associations because they look forward for the experiences that they would gain such as exposure, appreciation, or even monetary profit from the group's earnings. Extra curricular activities or associations can also be a means to earn social status and symbol. While some students join a group simply to find a sense of belonging.
